Narrative:

Transponder/encoder ground checks not performed on schedule. Discovered at aircraft annual inspection that required checks were overdue. Transponder/encoder checks do not occur at same time as aircraft annual and were overlooked. Corrective action taken is to install a decal in the cockpit with expiration date.

Narrative: XPONDER/ENCODER GND CHKS NOT PERFORMED ON SCHEDULE. DISCOVERED AT ACFT ANNUAL INSPECTION THAT REQUIRED CHKS WERE OVERDUE. XPONDER/ENCODER CHKS DO NOT OCCUR AT SAME TIME AS ACFT ANNUAL AND WERE OVERLOOKED. CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN IS TO INSTALL A DECAL IN THE COCKPIT WITH EXPIRATION DATE.
