Narrative:
I was practicing 2 takeoffs and lndgs for my private pilot training. I took off on runway 23 and was told by the controller to extend my downwind to land on runway 31. I landed on runway 14 and took off again. I flew the left-hand traffic pattern for runway 14 and was cleared to land on runway 14 and hold short of runway 23. I accepted that clearance. When I was on short final for runway 14, I was blown off the runway and decided to make a go around. While I was doing my go around, I saw an medium large transport X taking off on runway 23 from behind the trees. I executed a climbing turn to the right in order not to get too close to the X. After X climbed out to a safe altitude, I resumed my normal traffic pattern. Before I was able to contact the tower, tower contacted me. I told them that I was doing a go around. I was then told to fly a left-hand traffic pattern for runway 23, and landed safely.

Title: STUDENT PLT PRACTICING TKOF AND LNDGS AT ORF MISALIGNED WITH HIS ASSIGNED RWY AND IMPROPERLY DECIDED TO GO AROUND AND THEN BECAME TRAFFIC WITH AN ACR TAKING OFF ON A CROSS RWY.
Narrative: I WAS PRACTICING 2 TKOFS AND LNDGS FOR MY PVT PLT TRNING. I TOOK OFF ON RWY 23 AND WAS TOLD BY THE CTLR TO EXTEND MY DOWNWIND TO LAND ON RWY 31. I LANDED ON RWY 14 AND TOOK OFF AGAIN. I FLEW THE LEFT-HAND TFC PATTERN FOR RWY 14 AND WAS CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 14 AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 23. I ACCEPTED THAT CLRNC. WHEN I WAS ON SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 14, I WAS BLOWN OFF THE RWY AND DECIDED TO MAKE A GAR. WHILE I WAS DOING MY GAR, I SAW AN MLG X TAKING OFF ON RWY 23 FROM BEHIND THE TREES. I EXECUTED A CLBING TURN TO THE RIGHT IN ORDER NOT TO GET TOO CLOSE TO THE X. AFTER X CLBED OUT TO A SAFE ALT, I RESUMED MY NORMAL TFC PATTERN. BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO CONTACT THE TWR, TWR CONTACTED ME. I TOLD THEM THAT I WAS DOING A GAR. I WAS THEN TOLD TO FLY A LEFT-HAND TFC PATTERN FOR RWY 23, AND LANDED SAFELY.
