Narrative:

I had landed on runway 22R and rolled through the intersection of 31C because I saw traffic in position. I was advised to turn off on 'F' taxiway and to taxi southeast. I turned left instead on 31L (the old 'right') to the ew taxiway. I am not sure why he wanted me to turn on 'F' because either way there was not a conflict. My point in writing out this form is to inform you that mdw airport has the worst markings I've ever seen and minimum taxi lights. For the sake of safety, please look into this problem which has existed for some time.
