Narrative:

On the leg from gua direct iah we had a medical emergency on board. A child needed a special electrical pump to clear saliva out of its throat. Pump did not function on ships outlet power. Doctor advised us of a possible serious condition of child if it's throat couldn't be cleared within 3 hours. Manual use of pump was employed (not effective though). Captain decided to cross gulf on UB753 to remain within a 3 hour limitation, with dead reckoning, VOR and one ADF. Other ADF was deactivated so our dispatched route over land was altered to over water to get the patient on the ground as soon as possible.
