Narrative:

Depart slc intersection 2/91, uneventful flight to mesquite, nv. Verified runway with airport advisory. Proceeded to landing with gear retracted. Gear down level was actuated. Gear did not respond. Inattn to gear lights created situation. Skidded about 200 yds. Minimal structure damage. Propeller bent. No injury to pilot or passenger. All systems shut down. Pilot inattn to gear and directed attention to landing factors created environment for inattn to all variables. Action: more stringent use of checklist procedures initiated for future training. Problem arose out of assisting another party to execute the approach (too many hands in the stew).
