Narrative:

Arrived in ZZZZ after flying. Arrived at crew hotel mid-morning after all night flight. Attempted to sleep after arrival but sleep was cut short due to storms in the area with thunder and lighting. Made contact with other flight deck crew members and decided for an early dinner. I retired for the night and was desperate for sleep. The first call came through to my hotel phone at xa:03. I let it go the hotel voicemail. Woke a few minutes later and did not see a message light. Tried to go back sleep; was asleep for just a few minutes and phone rang again. I am severely tired and just wanted peace and quiet with sleep. I sleep with ear plugs so I was able to go back to sleep; then I thought I heard someone knocking at my door; but thought I was dreaming. Then I heard someone trying to activate the swipe key entry. Then more pounding and someone yelling in italian. I assumed it was someone who was drunk and was trying to enter the wrong room. I never open the door to anyone in the middle of the night!more calls and more attempts at entry. Called the front desk and the reception person only spoke in foreign language; so I hung up. The app showed a delay to our inbound flight; but the inbound aircraft was having multiple delays and had not left the east coast. I noticed multiple changes to our pairing; and assessed scheduling was in their usual melt down and decided to wait till one of 2 planes; both delayed; were headed to ZZZZ before committing to a start time.the calls were coming every 10 minutes and the pounding continued. I reached via text to my flight deck crew; who I found out were receiving the same tactics. We discussed the ramifications of fatigue; and decided to check in with ccs (crew communication system). We accepted a reset of 10 hours and attempted to go back to sleep; after an hour and a half of repeated attempts of calls and someone banging on the door. One of the first officer's (first officer); told me she was concerned and thought it was creepy someone was trying to enter her room.after all the attempts; I'm assuming by scheduling; and having someone try to enter our rooms was disturbing to say the least. I do not know who told the hotel staff to try to enter our rooms but that practice needs to be stop! Someone will eventually be physically harmed by such a stunt. I haven't seen such tactics in over 20 years! I cannot believe after far 117 was implemented this tactic is still in place.after we reported; the flight deck crew debriefed the previous night's antics. We all agreed the childish antics of scheduling to be directly opposed to core values and working together guidelines. No one wins; scheduling will never understand the effects of multiple time zone changes. Try sleep deprivation with constant phone ringing and some idiot banging on my door. Respect our right to get proper sleep!
