Narrative:

Operations delayed our aircraft X without informing dispatch prior to posting the delay. They ended up putting a 58 minute turn on the flight which is way more than [company policy]. Once again; [company] gate agents do not exercise operational control and should not have access to post delays on our flights. Who is to say that crew was legal to operate the flight given the delay? Who is to say the taf in ZZZ1 at arrival was legal with the new ETA? Operations has no idea about these issues and thus should not have a say in when a flight departs. [Company] must change this policy. It goes against the very fabric of dispatch the far's created.
