Narrative:

Wrong coordination inserted into omega. Descended 500', turned left approximately 60 degree to reintercept proper track. Reestimated time to next reporting point and requested change of altitude to FL360. Supplemental information from acn 168104. The INS did have the correct coords however the selector switch was in wind and not xtrack where it is normally carried. Additionally, monitoring outbnd heading after crossing a navigation point/fix and comparing with the flight plan would help preclude an incident of this type.
