Narrative:
*Pilot of a charter freight operation tried to stay VFR under a lowering cloud deck as he followed a highway through a pass to his destination airport. The reported WX was clear around the area with no report of low clouds over the mountains or in the pass. Aircraft hit a power line but was able to continue to destination airport where propeller damage was discovered along with a broken engine mount.

Title: CHARTER FGT FLT AT NIGHT HIT A POWER LINE AS THE PLT TRIED TO FOLLOW A HIGHWAY THROUGH A PASS WHERE HE COUNTERED LOW CLOUDS WITH LESS THAN 1 NM VISIBILITY.
Narrative: *PLT OF A CHARTER FREIGHT OPERATION TRIED TO STAY VFR UNDER A LOWERING CLOUD DECK AS HE FOLLOWED A HWY THROUGH A PASS TO HIS DEST ARPT. THE RPTED WX WAS CLR AROUND THE AREA WITH NO RPT OF LOW CLOUDS OVER THE MOUNTAINS OR IN THE PASS. ACFT HIT A PWR LINE BUT WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE TO DEST ARPT WHERE PROP DAMAGE WAS DISCOVERED ALONG WITH A BROKEN ENG MOUNT.
