Narrative:

Upon advancing power for takeoff we received a tgt warning horn, but no tgt master warning light. When I reduced power the horn stopped and when I added power it sounded again. At approximately 60 KTS, I aborted the takeoff. We rolled to the next taxiway and exited the runway with little if any braking. We called maintenance of the problem and asked the supervisor if we needed to return. He said no. We also checked all manuals available to us in the cockpit and could not find any reason to return to the gate since the problem no longer existed. We attempted another takeoff and had to abort it for excessive control wheel vibration. The second abort was at 80 KTS. We returned to the gate for maintenance. Maintenance found the #3 main tire flat. My first officer later said that he thought maybe that even on the first takeoff attempt the wheel shook, but we never got fast enough to tell for sure. I believe that the two problems were unrelated and strictly coincidental. My knowledge of the aircraft systems along with advice from the duty maintenance supervisor and consultation with my first officer formed my decision to not return to the gate after the first abort. The second problem could not be determined and therefore we returned for maintenance inspection. At no point was safety ever compromised!

Title: TKOF ABORT ACCOUNT TGT WARNING HORN. SECOND TKOF ABORT ACCOUNT VIBRATION.

Narrative: UPON ADVANCING PWR FOR TKOF WE RECEIVED A TGT WARNING HORN, BUT NO TGT MASTER WARNING LIGHT. WHEN I REDUCED PWR THE HORN STOPPED AND WHEN I ADDED PWR IT SOUNDED AGAIN. WE ALSO CHKED ALL MANUALS AVAILABLE TO US IN THE COCKPIT AND COULD NOT FIND ANY REASON TO RETURN TO THE GATE SINCE THE PROB NO LONGER EXISTED. WE ATTEMPTED ANOTHER TKOF AND HAD TO ABORT IT FOR EXCESSIVE CTL WHEEL VIBRATION. THE SEC ABORT WAS AT 80 KTS. WE RETURNED TO THE GATE FOR MAINT. MAINT FOUND THE #3 MAIN TIRE FLAT.
