Narrative:
While on final I noticed that I wasn't having my feet in the normal position for landing. I went to adjust the rudder pedals and as soon as I applied pressure they moved away from me again. I was able to steer and brake with only mild difficulty. As I was taxiing in I advised my first officer (first officer) of the issue so he would make sure he was ready to apply the brakes. I wrote up the issue for maintenance.
