Narrative:
PAPI for runway 02 at mkl has been notamed as unreliable for a number of months; but remains active. If pilot were to follow the glideslope suggested by the PAPI; it would without a doubt cause flight into terrain. Suggest that PAPI be decommissioned till it can be properly repaired.
