Narrative:

My CFI and I were on a training flight in my airplane practicing short field take off and landings. We had been on sight at scappoose regional (spb) with two other cessna's in the pattern for about 25 minutes. The wind was calm and we were using runway 15 as is local practice in calm conditions. As we were taxiing back to take off after our third landing; a pilot announced 'over the river for 45 degree entry to runway 33.' one of the cessna's announced there are two others of us in the pattern and we are using runway 15. The original announcer confirmed 15. As we were taxiing; I heard a call from a pilot announcing 'two and a half miles out on left base for 33.' I am not sure if it was the same or a different airplane. My CFI and I talked about who and where that call came from it did not seem to make logical sense. We could not see the announcer's plane. After clearing for traffic; I announced from the hold short line; departing on runway 15 and proceeded to roll for takeoff. At about 60 mph when I was ready to rotate; I could see a plane about 50-100 feet on short final for 33 coming right at me (aircraft Y). My CFI said 'I have the airplane;' I confirmed; and he took control and rotated and immediately and turned right to be clear of the runway and continued to climb out. As this was occurring one of the cessna's in the pattern asked where aircraft Y was whereupon a pilot responded 'on short final for 33.'
