Narrative:

Ikb was moved to a new location (ukf) in june 1990. The old airport was closed and runways xed over. No action was taken to move the rco 122.4 to the new airport until a developer cut the power supply at the old airport on 9/xx/90. The remote communications outlet (rco) is still out of service on 11/xx/90. It seems that six months is rather unrealistic to move a phone line and radio 10 mi. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information. Reporter stated no ucr had been filed on the stated condition. The rco is still out of service as of this date (1/mon/91). This rco is used to deliver ATC clrncs. There is telephone service available to deliver the ATC clearance today. No date had been set for the return of the rco.

Title: NO ACTION TAKEN TO MOVE THE RCO AT A CLOSED ARPT.

Narrative: IKB WAS MOVED TO A NEW LOCATION (UKF) IN JUNE 1990. THE OLD ARPT WAS CLOSED AND RWYS XED OVER. NO ACTION WAS TAKEN TO MOVE THE RCO 122.4 TO THE NEW ARPT UNTIL A DEVELOPER CUT THE PWR SUPPLY AT THE OLD ARPT ON 9/XX/90. THE REMOTE COMS OUTLET (RCO) IS STILL OUT OF SVC ON 11/XX/90. IT SEEMS THAT SIX MONTHS IS RATHER UNREALISTIC TO MOVE A PHONE LINE AND RADIO 10 MI. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO. RPTR STATED NO UCR HAD BEEN FILED ON THE STATED CONDITION. THE RCO IS STILL OUT OF SVC AS OF THIS DATE (1/MON/91). THIS RCO IS USED TO DELIVER ATC CLRNCS. THERE IS TELEPHONE SVC AVAILABLE TO DELIVER THE ATC CLRNC TODAY. NO DATE HAD BEEN SET FOR THE RETURN OF THE RCO.
