Narrative:

We were told to line up and wait. [A] 757 took off in front of us. We were then cleared for takeoff within approximately 1 minute behind the 757 and given an assigned heading. We were approximately 500 feet; but less than a thousand and encountered wake turbulence. The captain had full left aileron to counteract the roll and we were unable to turn to the assigned heading until we were out of the wake. We advised ATC that we were in the preceding aircraft wake turbulence. We were then advised by ATC to contact departure.
