Narrative:

Light transport was cleared to FL290 and medium large transport was at FL240. The aircraft were not considered to be in conflict because of the distance between them. Other situations were developing which required attention. When I saw the situation in question, I responded promptly. Both aircraft were issued 'immediate' clrncs for sep, but I do not feel that the xmissions actually transmitted. This situation occurred during live OJT.
