Narrative:

After landing at new I cannot be sure we were cleared for the approach or clearance to land. The problem arose due to marginal WX in msy. The localizer backcourse to runway 19 was in use. This approach requires several stepdowns and therefore requiring many callouts as per our company procedures. (Both of us were busy.) the captain was flying I was acting as support pilot. It was discovered after landing that we were still on approach control frequency. Although the approach controller may have cleared us to land I'm not certain. Putting the clearance to land on the before landing checklist may be a possible solution.

Title: MLG CARGO ACFT LANDS WITHOUT CLRNC.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT NEW I CANNOT BE SURE WE WERE CLRED FOR THE APCH OR CLRNC TO LAND. THE PROB AROSE DUE TO MARGINAL WX IN MSY. THE LOC BACKCOURSE TO RWY 19 WAS IN USE. THIS APCH REQUIRES SEVERAL STEPDOWNS AND THEREFORE REQUIRING MANY CALLOUTS AS PER OUR COMPANY PROCS. (BOTH OF US WERE BUSY.) THE CAPT WAS FLYING I WAS ACTING AS SUPPORT PLT. IT WAS DISCOVERED AFTER LNDG THAT WE WERE STILL ON APCH CTL FREQ. ALTHOUGH THE APCH CTLR MAY HAVE CLRED US TO LAND I'M NOT CERTAIN. PUTTING THE CLRNC TO LAND ON THE BEFORE LNDG CHKLIST MAY BE A POSSIBLE SOLUTION.
