Narrative:

Heavy rain, taxiing in on very wide ramp. No visible taxi line. Gave wide berth to aircraft on adjacent gate. Making turn into gate wing tip struck cargo loader. Supplemental information from acn 259965: ground equipment was parked in a position that could cause this to happen--construction in area. Loader appeared to be clear, but had another 40 yrs behind it where it would have been well clear. While watching guide man (wing walker) and aiding captain in parking we struck a parked loader with our right wing tip lens cover. We were unaware of any contact until flight engineer did his walk-around.
