Narrative:

While cruising at 5000' preparing to descend for landing at mussel shoals airport, aircraft lost power. After notifying FSS pilot attempted restart utilizing standard procedures including switching to fullest fuel tank. After no success was achieved PIC chose an emergency landing site and landed gear up. There were no injuries and the aircraft did not incur substantial damage.

Title: GA SMA EMERGENCY OFF ARPT LNDG GEAR UP.

Narrative: WHILE CRUISING AT 5000' PREPARING TO DSND FOR LNDG AT MUSSEL SHOALS ARPT, ACFT LOST PWR. AFTER NOTIFYING FSS PLT ATTEMPTED RESTART UTILIZING STANDARD PROCS INCLUDING SWITCHING TO FULLEST FUEL TANK. AFTER NO SUCCESS WAS ACHIEVED PIC CHOSE AN EMER LNDG SITE AND LANDED GEAR UP. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE ACFT DID NOT INCUR SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE.
