Aircraft X departed ZZZ IFR. I climbed the aircraft to be able to turn him on course and to top arrival traffic to slc from the south. I thought that I was further north than I was. I thought that I was in a 124 MVA; but I was in the 135 MVA. Aircraft X entered the 135 MVA level at 13;000 ft.

Title: S56 controller reported a CL30 was turned into a higher Minimum Vectoring Altitude.
Narrative: Aircraft X departed ZZZ IFR. I climbed the aircraft to be able to turn him on course and to top arrival traffic to SLC from the south. I thought that I was further north than I was. I thought that I was in a 124 MVA; but I was in the 135 MVA. Aircraft X entered the 135 MVA level at 13;000 ft.
