Narrative:

On approach to ord 9L outside doogy at 4000 feet. Missed approach altitude for the 9L ILS is also 4000 feet. Intercepted the glide slope and started down; at 3700 feet; got the altitude alert but continued. The rest of the approach was uneventful. Purposely flying through an altitude alert away from a set altitude is bad SOP. I have filed multiple [reports] concerning this particular anomaly using the new SOP. As I said in my previous [reports] concerning this SOP; I believe this is a flawed SOP. We should not be flying through or away from altitude alerts.
