Narrative:

At the conclusion of the flight; the captain made me aware that a passenger sitting in seat 1A boarded the aircraft with a portable oxygen (O2) bottle. The passenger complained that his O2 was not working and the flight attendants administered oxygen. The gate agent and supervisor noticed he had an oxygen tank with him when he was deplaning. The captain called the duty manager for guidance. From the flight attendants we were made aware that the gate agent wanted to do a security check; which was completed. We do not know how he made it through security with this tank.
