Narrative:
While being vectored for the RNAV [approach]; I was given the clearance to cross zzzzz at or above 2;000 feet; cleared for the approach. I was at 2;800 feet MSL. I set 2;000 feet and selected altitude select I was busy getting the airplane configured for landing when I realized that the altitude had not captured and arrested the descent and passed over ZZZ airfield at 1;000 feet. I then made a successful landing at ZZZ1.
