Narrative:

After cruise for approximately 3 hours and approximately 12 minutes from destination; started descending for destination airport. Made a slight reduction in power to start descent and the engine immediately lost all power; applied carburetor heat and regained some power; however due to the high density altitude the power available was not enough maintain altitude. Attempted to turn towards ZZZ and broadcast on CTAF. I located a large farm with a long unobstructed grass driveway between cornfields and made a successful emergency landing. Shortly after landing I made contact with the owner of the farm. The aircraft sustained no damage and after the aircraft sat for an hour; I attempted to restart the engine and it started immediately. I suspected carburetor ice had caused the power loss and I conducted several engine run ups with no abnormal engine operation. After coordinating with the locals; I was offered that a small section of rural road could be blocked off for me to take off. After considering all options I decided this was the best and safe option. I safely departed and continued on to my destination where I am making arrangements to have the carburetor and induction system evaluated for any issues.
