Narrative:

On approach to lax; we had normal tight spacing behind a B737 for the ILS on 25L. Today the wind on approach was exceptionally still and this led to wake turbulence from the preceding aircraft at around 6000ft. The aircraft banked un-commanded approximately 30 degrees in both directions. We asked for vectors off course to increase distance; flew with the autopilot off; and flew slightly above path for a few minutes. There was some smaller wake that was felt; but nothing like the first instance. We landed normally shortly after.
