Narrative:

After takeoff and entering marginal VFR conditions, vibration was felt on the left engine. The vibration became so bad that the engine had to be secured and feathered. The airplane would not maintain altitude and an emergency landing was made in a cornfield. Cause of vibration unknown.

Narrative: AFTER TKOF AND ENTERING MARGINAL VFR CONDITIONS, VIBRATION WAS FELT ON THE L ENG. THE VIBRATION BECAME SO BAD THAT THE ENG HAD TO BE SECURED AND FEATHERED. THE AIRPLANE WOULD NOT MAINTAIN ALT AND AN EMER LNDG WAS MADE IN A CORNFIELD. CAUSE OF VIBRATION UNKNOWN.
