Narrative:

The instructor pilot directs his student pilot to expedite from the taxiway because another aircraft is landing on their taxiway.my student and I had just completed a training circuit of three touch and goes around the longmont airport traffic pattern. There was a heavy volume of traffic in the pattern as well as more aircraft joining when I chose to terminate our flight for the day. We had just landed on runway 11 as the winds were favoring it at 08005KT and it was the runway everyone was using. We exited the runway at the A2 intersection to the north towards the ramp and having crossed the hold short line; the pilot flying; my student; was running through the after landing checklist. There was another aircraft; a yellow piper cub; landing directly behind us.our airplane was positioned on the alpha taxiway; just north of the hold short line for runway 11 when I looked out the window to the west and noticed an aircraft landing on the alpha taxiway. I instructed my student to hurry up and cross the remaining taxiway with no delay and he did so right into the parking ramp. As he was maneuvering to park into the first T spot with the nose pointing west; the aircraft passed us with both occupants looking at us. The person in the right seat was using animated hand gestures which indicated to me they thought we had just crossed the runway in front of them. I don't believe that they had realized at that point they had landed on the taxiway.the aircraft parked on the other side of the ramp safely.
