Taxi for takeoff home town airport (did not fly in). Much recent ramp construction. Airport charts no longer accurate. Many areas depicted as grass now concrete. Thought I was taxiing onto taxiway from ramp but it was runway. Was also doing revised checklist for first time. As the old safety poster says, 'complacency kills!'

Narrative: TAXI FOR TKOF HOME TOWN ARPT (DID NOT FLY IN). MUCH RECENT RAMP CONSTRUCTION. ARPT CHARTS NO LONGER ACCURATE. MANY AREAS DEPICTED AS GRASS NOW CONCRETE. THOUGHT I WAS TAXIING ONTO TXWY FROM RAMP BUT IT WAS RWY. WAS ALSO DOING REVISED CHKLIST FOR FIRST TIME. AS THE OLD SAFETY POSTER SAYS, 'COMPLACENCY KILLS!'
