Narrative:

We departed ZZZ on the [SID]. PF called for gear up; PNF raised the gear handle but the gear did not retract. PF engaged the auto pilot around 2;000 ft. At 3;000 ft we accelerated to 220 kts and retracted the flaps. We continued the climb and requested a level off at 5;000 ft from ATC so that we could run a gear disagree checklist. We had a problem with the checklist when we got to step 5 'open and close the manual gear extension access door. Verify door is fully closed'. We could not open the access door. We both tried but were unable to open it. We decided to continue the checklist. Lowering the gear handle to down and then back up raised the gear and extinguished the lights. We made a maintenance writeup for both the landing gear unable to retract and a stuck access door.
