Narrative:

Air carrier large transport X had just been cleared for takeoff at runway 4R at bos. The takeoff was hurried, as we were still 20 min ahead of our original wheels-up release time. I knew that a heading was required per our SID (logan 7), and I asked the captain at 600' AGL which heading to turn to. He answered '120 start your turn now.' I so did, and soon saw an air carrier widebody transport Y on a converging course, having been cleared for takeoff on runway 9 a few seconds behind us. When we were handed over to departure, the controller immediately asked us to turn to a heading of 070 degree. He then asked which heading we had been on previously, and the captain answered '120 degrees.' the controller then informed us that the SID depicted a 90 degree heading for runway 4R, and we were asked to maintain visibility sep with air carrier widebody transport Y. We were approximately 2 mi apart at the closest.
