Narrative:
Due to a sick call; I ended up working from XA45-XO00 for coverage. By XS00; I was going on hour 12 and into the heaviest bank of flights for 2 dispatchers to work. I was very fatigued; and developed a headache from eye strain due to overly bright overhead lights. I stayed so the other dispatcher would not be left alone with 30 flights due in 1 hour. I volunteered to stay; but this is due to precedent and pressure from management. To add to the issue; I had just worked 12 out of 13 days and was already experiencing work fatigue. Multiple dispatchers are experiencing exhaustion due to a high amount of overtime and junior assignments. This is due to vacancies in our department.
