Narrative:

At pushback; configured for de-icing. Went to close the ditching switch as per the check list. Was in a hurry and pushed the cargo fire switch which is in the same area the ditching switch is and both are guarded. This released halon into the forward cargo compartment. There was no cargo in this compartment. Maintenance opened the compartment to air it out. Going through the check list too fast. The de-icing check list is the hot app and should be a challenged and response.
