Narrative:
While I was in crew bunk on my crew rest; without calling for a blocker and an individual to come to the flight deck; the captain left the controls and left the cockpit to use the restroom. The first officer on the flight deck was left alone without an additional crew member to check and safely open flight deck door for captains reentry. I was given this information second hand by the flight attendant working the a galley (front). I informed her that she should report; that having been asleep I had no firsthand knowledge of the event. Late report due to being advised by professional standards to file this report.
