Narrative:

On final approach in smooth air, plane was set up for a profile descent, everything perfect. Right before landing, tower advised go around, gear not down. Probable reasons for mistake include 14 hour duty day with heavy WX, flight day approximately 5 hours and no gump check. Also engrossed in feeling good that a smooth beautiful landing would occur. Suggestions to prevent gear up lndgs: pilot doing gump check. Also, have a gear horn that is loud enough that you can hear it above noise of aircraft with headphones on. I can't stress enough that a lot of planes are noisy and with headphones on you can't hear the gear horn with the noise.
