Narrative:

Area C frequencys intermittent. High altitude frequencys (132.82, 125.07) would key up on their own. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter stated the center was having a rash of radio frequency problems and failures for a month period. FAA technicians investigated problem and it has been resolved. With a sector plug-in jack failure interphones are not available to the radio controller and require another controller at a different position to do the ARTCC intrafac coordination.

Title: ARTCC RADAR SECTOR RADIO PROBLEM.

Narrative: AREA C FREQS INTERMITTENT. HIGH ALT FREQS (132.82, 125.07) WOULD KEY UP ON THEIR OWN. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: RPTR STATED THE CENTER WAS HAVING A RASH OF RADIO FREQ PROBS AND FAILURES FOR A MONTH PERIOD. FAA TECHNICIANS INVESTIGATED PROB AND IT HAS BEEN RESOLVED.
