On final approach engine quit. Had issues switching tanks. [Advised ATC] and landed [on the] runway at an angle. Plane touched down on runway and due to angle and speed I departed runway. No damage to plane; pilot or passengers. No damage to property. Got plane restarted and departed runway with no further issues.
