Narrative:

I was pilot monitoring (pm) during a taxiway incursion event. Ground control gave us a clearance from abeam [the] gate to taxi to runway 28R. As we were taxiing on taxiway a; our flight deck received a call from one of the flight attendants to notify us that the cabin was secured and they were ready for takeoff. Given that there was no impending traffic occurrence; as well as no call from ground control for further instructions; I responded to the call within 2 to 3 seconds of chime. As I was about to thank the flight attendant for the notification and hang up; I heard the captain chime in as well to talk to the flight attendant about something. Their conversation was relatively brief and the captain hung up only a couple of seconds after me. As soon as he brought back his attention to only taxiing he realized that we had missed our left turn to A15. It was too late for me to say anything because I noticed it around the same time. The gap between when he and I hung up from the call from the flight attendant was only about 2 seconds. As soon as we realized we had missed our turn; we reported it to ground control and they just instructed us to continue to A10; then T and then north to runway 28R.
