Narrative:

When I called for clearance at lga we were given the laguardia 3 with a 'garbled' climb that I thought was white stone climb, vectors for lanna intersection, as filed. Since the climb out instructions were not clear I read back clearance and asked for verification of climb. Clearance rapidly read the clearance back as stated mespath climb. We took off and complied with mespath climb. Departure asked us as we turned right what climb out we were doing. We told them and they said ok. The captain asked if there was a problem and controller said they expected us on white stone climb out but there was no problem. It was difficult for both of us pilots to understand the clearance delivery man due to his speed of delivery and new york accent.
