Narrative:

Aircraft was marshaled into gate incorrectly due to pilot bringing aircraft down wide-body lead-in line. Aircraft stop marks were incorrectly painted causing confusion on where to correctly park aircraft by the ramp. Also; no ramp crews are assigned to work this specific area. 3 agents were involved; but we are not familiar with the gate. Also; wide-body lines are not similar to the lines in [other] gates. This is because the city is in charge of this terminal. The differences in these gates was the key factor to the confusion that transpired. Upon departure due to the angle of the aircraft; the field of view made it seem clear to the push-back position. Due to the proximity of the aircraft to each other; the aircraft could not be stopped in time to avoid the wing tips clipping each other.
