Narrative:
We were cleared for takeoff. While turning onto centerline I brought the engines up to stable power. When I was lined up I selected toga power; because of the strong left crosswind. The plane immediately began to yaw right. I tried to steer left with the tiller; then pulled off the power; then utilized asymmetric braking. When I got the plane straight; I exited at the next taxiway. The aircraft behind us reported to tower that we hit a runway edge light; but we didn't feel it. The first officer called the tower and told them we're rejecting; then told the passengers to remain seated. After we exited the runway [first officer] ran the rejected takeoff checklist. We taxied uneventfully back to the gate.
