Narrative:

I was the a (senior) F/a on a breakfast flight from lax/tus blocked at 1 and 17 airtime but it actually took 1:00. Cockpit crew told us in the back how long it took later. I called them in-flight, when I realized we were unprepared to land. He (captain) never told me we're descending when I gave them something to eat (because they were griping because we didn't get extra meals for crew). When I called, first officer said we only have 4 mins. I asked him to do a lap. At that time he put the gear down and landed. We had breakfast trays still out in the cabin. We were definitely not ready to land. The girls in the back were not in their jump seats. We had a passenger that was afraid for safety. When the gentleman demanded the captain's name and mine, the captain told him it was none of his business. The cockpit crew later kept changing their story because they realized the severity of the situation. I called them in-flight. I had 2 witnesses that heard me call with urgency in my voice. The first officer's report said that I called but told him I would keep him posted. Which is not true. I have witnesses. I've been flying for almost 5 yrs. The other's have been flying at least half that long. I am perfectly aware of what goes on up front, and the captain told me if he had been the one to answer my call he would have gone around. That to me means a communication breakdown up front.
