Narrative:

Aircraft departed (ihm) which is southeast side of boston TCA. Initial climb made on a westerly heading. Contact made with boston and IFR clearance put on request. Transponder left in standby mode. Shortly afterwards boston informed me that I had entered TCA west/O a clearance and gave me a turn southbound with a change of frequency. Next boston frequency gave IFR clearance and flight proceeded IFR.

Narrative: ACFT DEPARTED (IHM) WHICH IS SE SIDE OF BOSTON TCA. INITIAL CLB MADE ON A WESTERLY HDG. CONTACT MADE WITH BOSTON AND IFR CLRNC PUT ON REQUEST. XPONDER LEFT IN STANDBY MODE. SHORTLY AFTERWARDS BOSTON INFORMED ME THAT I HAD ENTERED TCA W/O A CLRNC AND GAVE ME A TURN SBND WITH A CHANGE OF FREQ. NEXT BOSTON FREQ GAVE IFR CLRNC AND FLT PROCEEDED IFR.
