Narrative:

Turning left into the gate I was at about 9 knots at beginning of turn with the right engine shut down. The thrust was approximately 35% N1 to maintain forward momentum to this uphill gate. When nearly aligned with the lead in line; marshaller indicated to stop. Maintenance towed aircraft to gate. There was a line of cans behind the flight line; and I believe lining them up (air can't escape) and being empty contributed to one of the cans tipping onto a caravan behind the cans. Either have no cans (at least empty ones) behind line and in front of the feeders where the jet blast can topple them into aircraft.
