Narrative:
IFR flight plan, VFR conditions. Requested mht for direct hfd swbnd from mht. Originally cleared V106 gdm V229 hfd. Mht granted my request. I acknowledged and turned direct hfd. Changed frequency to ZBW. After few mins, ZBW asked if I was not receiving gdm. I advised of 'cleared direct hfd' and was told, by ZBW, that mht didn't clear me and I was to return direct gdm V229 with which I immediately complied. I had acknowledged, to mht, receipt of clearance direct to hfd and thanked him. I was not corrected/contradicted by mht.

Title: IFR SMA REQUESTS DIRECT FROM DEP CTLR AFTER TKOF AND IS RECLRED ACCORDINGLY, BUT WHEN CHANGED TO CENTER RECLRNC IS NOT KNOWN.
Narrative: IFR FLT PLAN, VFR CONDITIONS. REQUESTED MHT FOR DIRECT HFD SWBND FROM MHT. ORIGINALLY CLRED V106 GDM V229 HFD. MHT GRANTED MY REQUEST. I ACKNOWLEDGED AND TURNED DIRECT HFD. CHANGED FREQ TO ZBW. AFTER FEW MINS, ZBW ASKED IF I WAS NOT RECEIVING GDM. I ADVISED OF 'CLRED DIRECT HFD' AND WAS TOLD, BY ZBW, THAT MHT DIDN'T CLR ME AND I WAS TO RETURN DIRECT GDM V229 WITH WHICH I IMMEDIATELY COMPLIED. I HAD ACKNOWLEDGED, TO MHT, RECEIPT OF CLRNC DIRECT TO HFD AND THANKED HIM. I WAS NOT CORRECTED/CONTRADICTED BY MHT.
