Narrative:

Upon liftoff; numerous failures occurred nearly simultaneously. They included both transponders; both VHF navigation control transfer switches; and the number 2 comm. We initially concentrated on flying the aircraft to a safe altitude so we could troubleshoot the issue. We did not find any popped cbs. ZZZ was good; and this time we were half way there on this short flight. After an uneventful approach and landing; we called ZZZ maintenance. When they removed the failed components; they found evidence that liquids had been spilled on the center pedestal. This came to a surprise to us as we had not spilled any.
