Narrative:

I was prepared for departure at runway 27, macomb, waiting for low wing aircraft to land. After it landed I saw that the taxiway at the west end of the runway was congested with 3 aircraft preparing to back-taxi in preparation for departure on runway 27. Because the runway was not clear, I should have aborted the takeoff. However, in my judgement, I decided I had adequate runway available, and took off west/O incident. I am preparing this report because I clearly should not have taken off under the conditions described. A mechanical failure could have caused an accident. The decision/judgement process on my part was faulty--never again!
