Narrative:

ATIS reported approach to runway 9L, 9R, and 4R at ord. Upon switching to ord approach control, we believe we were given 'heading 270 degrees for runway 9 approach.' later we acknowledged a clearance for a visibility to runway 9L but upon switching to ord tower, we were given a right turn to land on runway 9R. Tower checked with approach control and advised there may have been an error because a new person was being trained on approach control.
