Narrative:

On a repos leg from ont to oxr, I had to reset the landing gear control circuit breaker once on climb out. Upon approach to landing at oxr, I extended the gear and got the 2 mains to lock. The nose was not showing a locked indication and the breaker would not rest at first. The tower suggested a fly-by and I continued on down for a low pass. They confirmed all 3 down. I decided to contact my company anyway, so I climbed up and tried to contact my company dispatcher. While I did this I pumped the manual handle about 20 times (it takes about 35 times to extend the gear normally), and just for the heck of it, tried to reset the circuit breaker again. This worked; I got 3 in the green and the primary system was restored to normal. I landed west/O incident. No emergency was declared. I loaded my cargo and contacted my company with a borrowed cellular phone. I continued on back to ont and had no further incidents. I didn't consider it an incident because I was able to restore the system to normal--but since I had made a fly-by of the tower, they contacted the local FSDO and the FAA was hot on my company for my not filing a report. The company has taken some disciplinary action, but the FAA may want more; I'm still waiting to find out. I did describe the problem to our maintenance department when I got into ont and the landing gear system was checked and any repairs they may have made were completed, even before the FAA came calling.

Title: ATX SMT PLT FAILED TO RPT REPAIR ACFT EQUIPMENT PROBLEM BEFORE DEP OXR FOR ONT ON AN FRT FLT.

Narrative: ON A REPOS LEG FROM ONT TO OXR, I HAD TO RESET THE LNDG GEAR CTL CB ONCE ON CLBOUT. UPON APCH TO LNDG AT OXR, I EXTENDED THE GEAR AND GOT THE 2 MAINS TO LOCK. THE NOSE WAS NOT SHOWING A LOCKED INDICATION AND THE BREAKER WOULD NOT REST AT FIRST. THE TWR SUGGESTED A FLY-BY AND I CONTINUED ON DOWN FOR A LOW PASS. THEY CONFIRMED ALL 3 DOWN. I DECIDED TO CONTACT MY COMPANY ANYWAY, SO I CLBED UP AND TRIED TO CONTACT MY COMPANY DISPATCHER. WHILE I DID THIS I PUMPED THE MANUAL HANDLE ABOUT 20 TIMES (IT TAKES ABOUT 35 TIMES TO EXTEND THE GEAR NORMALLY), AND JUST FOR THE HECK OF IT, TRIED TO RESET THE CB AGAIN. THIS WORKED; I GOT 3 IN THE GREEN AND THE PRIMARY SYS WAS RESTORED TO NORMAL. I LANDED W/O INCIDENT. NO EMER WAS DECLARED. I LOADED MY CARGO AND CONTACTED MY COMPANY WITH A BORROWED CELLULAR PHONE. I CONTINUED ON BACK TO ONT AND HAD NO FURTHER INCIDENTS. I DIDN'T CONSIDER IT AN INCIDENT BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TO RESTORE THE SYS TO NORMAL--BUT SINCE I HAD MADE A FLY-BY OF THE TWR, THEY CONTACTED THE LCL FSDO AND THE FAA WAS HOT ON MY COMPANY FOR MY NOT FILING A RPT. THE COMPANY HAS TAKEN SOME DISCIPLINARY ACTION, BUT THE FAA MAY WANT MORE; I'M STILL WAITING TO FIND OUT. I DID DESCRIBE THE PROB TO OUR MAINT DEPT WHEN I GOT INTO ONT AND THE LNDG GEAR SYS WAS CHKED AND ANY REPAIRS THEY MAY HAVE MADE WERE COMPLETED, EVEN BEFORE THE FAA CAME CALLING.
