Narrative:
I was practicing a landing from the rear seat of the aircraft with the owner in the front seat on runway 17 at [a private airport]. On downwind the runway was clear; however when turning from base to final the front seat pilot informed me there is a tractor on the runway. I looked over his shoulder and observed the tractor stationary in the center of the runway we were attempting to land on and initiated a go-around at approximately 200 feet. We passed over the tractor and left the area.
