Narrative:

Held short runway 32. Looked for traffic. Seeing none, announced taking runway, taxi into position and checked INS. Looked up when I sensed shadow pass over. Looked like an small aircraft executing go around. Heard '(unintelligible) aircraft on runway.' contributing factors: aircraft position a view blocked by wing. Aircraft position B view blocked by nose/wing. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter states visibility was poor--3-5 mi and hazy. 'Looking' technique is to turn aircraft 45 degrees toward final and check base and final areas for traffic. Did not see anyone and that is what is so frustrating. He looked but didn't see. Unicom serves 2 or 3 airports in area and can be very confusing at times.
